Legal basis & purposes of data processing

Access data / server log files

We, the website operator or provider, collect data on visits to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and store this as “server log files” on the website’s server. The following data is logged:

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 180 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, for example, investigate cases of misuse. If data must be retained for evidential purposes, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been fully resolved.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is strictly necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, the user has no right to object.

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar (‘https://’ and the padlock symbol).

It is possible to contact us via the email address provided. In this case, the user’s personal data transmitted via email will be stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties. The data will be used exclusively for the purpose of processing the correspondence.

Legal basis for data processing where the user has given consent: Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. In the case of email contact aimed at concluding a contract: additionally Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Processing is carried out on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to prevent misuse and ensure IT security.

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

You have the option of contacting us via our contact form. To use this, we first require the data marked as mandatory fields. We use this data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to respond to your enquiry.

In addition, you may provide further details on a voluntary basis. These are processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Your data will only be processed to respond to your enquiry. We will delete it once it is no longer required and provided there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary. You may withdraw your consent or object to the processing of voluntary information at any time.

Social Media / Social Media Presence

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. Visiting these profiles triggers data processing operations relevant to data protection. If you are logged in, the operator may associate this with your account. Even without an account, data such as your IP address or cookies are collected.

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in effective external representation)

Data processing is carried out under joint responsibility with the respective platform operator in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR. Rights such as access, erasure, restriction, etc. may be exercised with both us and the operator.

Retention period

Personal data will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose no longer applies. Data will only be stored for a longer period where required by law or with consent.

Statistics / WP Statistics

This website uses WP Statistics, a self-hosted analytics tool, to evaluate visitor traffic anonymously and statistically. No cookies are set. IP addresses are anonymised and data is used solely for the compilation of anonymous statistics. The tool is used locally on our server, meaning no data is transferred to third parties.
